Position – Junior Environmentalist

The Company

Khweza Environmental Consulting is a young and innovative consultancy operational across South Africa, that employs a fresh approach to environmental management, through the delivery of creative and practical solutions. With our 12 years of experience within the government sector, we are able to ensure development applications are efficiently handled to reduce delays and increase financial and environmental benefit.

The Candidate

We are looking to expand the team with a Junior Environmentalist who is quick to learn, shows initiative and able to get their hands dirty for a 6 month contract on a consultancy basis.

The Work

  • Compile, prepare and process EIAs, WMLs, and WULAs
  • Conduct site visits
  • Conduct environmental audits and prepare environmental reports
  • Compile Environmental Management Programmes and specialist reports
  • Conduct environmental research
  • Manage administration and marketing

The Minimum Requirements:

  •  Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science
  •  More than 1 year of experience in the environmental field
  • Durban based
  • Drivers License (preferred access to own vehicle)
  • Knowledge of environmental law, biodiversity and EIAs
  • Able to work from home and have own PC.
